Building on the strong foundation of DigiDECOM conferences, NuclearNEXT expands its scope to cover the entire nuclear lifecycle while maintaining a strong focus on the nuclear back-end, decommissioning, and long-term safety.
Organizing Partners: DigiDECOM’s NuclearNEXT 2025 is the latest edition of the DigiDECOM conference series organized under IFE’s designation as an IAEA Collaborating Centre. The event will be co-organized with the OECD NEA, the Halden HTO Project, the Norwegian Nuclear Research Centre, the Norwegian Nuclear Association and other distinguished partners.
💡 The event will feature:
✅ A broader focus, including AI, digital twins, robotics, and Human Technology Organization (HTO) aspects.
✅A single-track program with no parallel sessions, ensuring everyone can participate in all key discussions.
✅ Updates from Euratom and other major projects, presenting new insights, results, and collaboration opportunities.
✅ Demonstrations:
- Relevant Technologies and Methods: We will demonstrate our techniques from the HADRON Lab, including VRdose and its integrations with BIM, robotics, and other advanced technologies. We also invite sponsors to bring relevant demonstrations to the event.
- Our Labs: Our HAMMLAB, hosting three full-scope nuclear plant simulators (including an SMR simulator), along with our HADRON AI, data, and robotics lab, as well as our Virtual Reality and other specialized labs, will be showcased.
- Hands-On Experience with VRdose: Participants will have the opportunity to experiment first-hand with our VRdose 3D nuclear simulation tool. We are happy to provide you with a demo license if you are interested in trying the tool and/or bringing interesting case studies to share with the audience in the form of 3D simulations.

Call for Abstracts: Plase submit an abstract using our Abstract Template by May 31.
Focus areas of main interest include decommissioning, commissioning, maintenance, and sustainable lifecycle management in the nuclear sector, with applicability to other safety-critical industries. A specific focus will be on the application of AI, digitalization, and robotics to enhance safety and efficiency.
The 2025 program will also integrate human and organizational factors across all topics to ensure a holistic approach to safety, performance, and resilience.
