Battery Testing
IFE is the leading institution when it comes to the testing and characterization of batteries in Norway. At the Department of Battery Technology, we have an extensive equipment portfolio and decades of experience in the field.
We offer testing of both small-scale coin cells (e.g. for battery materials evaluation) as well as larger commercial cells and battery modules in our Battery Testing and Characterization Labs.
All battery cycling is carried out in controlled temperature chambers. Larger cells are cycled and stored in specific fireproof testing and storage rooms. Accelerated testing and access to advanced lifetime models are available.
