Success for the Halden HTO Project: Building Competence in the Nuclear Industry

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our latest training course on nuclear energy, hosted by the Halden HTO Project. With over 70 participants from 12 different nationalities, this event was a truly international effort to advance knowledge in the nuclear industry.
Our focus this time? AI for Nuclear
The course aimed to educate the next generation of professionals on the benefits, challenges, and safety considerations of using Artificial Intelligence in the nuclear sector. Together, we explored a wide range of topics, including:
- Core principles of AI in nuclear energy
- Regulatory and technical aspects
- The intersection of AI, digital twins, and physics models
- AI explainability and human-AI collaboration
- AI and robotics in nuclear applications
It is great with people from so many different organisations in the room. We can have good discussions between regulators and utilities and vendors and research organizations. That is quite seldom in other settings
