This is an NFR-EnergiX project with Agder Energi Nett and IFE. The project has, by using Agder Energi Nett as a pilot, described the capabilities power grid companies must possess in a future power system. The focus has been on system innovation rather than technology innovation and one has addressed the challenges regarding decisions, integration and implementation of new technologies. An important contribution from this project has been the development of Agder Energi Nett’s innovation process and the establishment of the “Futurelab concept”.
