IFE has expertise in a number of areas that are part of the innovation work Husqvarna is currently undertaking. – Among other things, we will assist with analysis of profit opportunities, follow-up of competence and organizational development, state-based maintenance, visualization of process information, safe use of robots and automation, as well as ensuring stable production by means of Security / Cyber Security, says IFE’s research director for Digital Systems, Tomas Nordlander.
– We shall be a contributor and discussion partner and make use of our networks and expertise in a long-term, innovation-driven collaboration on research and development (R&D). This will be applied research that creates results for Husqvarna. The overall objective is to ensure that Husqvarna Sarpsborg becomes the group’s flagship based on modern industrial processes, states Petter Kvalvik, head of IFE’s strategic digitalization initiative. The agreement was signed by research director Tomas Nordlander from IFE and factory manager Michael Thörn from Husqvarna at the factory in Sarpsborg on February 5, 2019.
