The test site includes extensive weather measurements, including:
- Irradiance in different planes, measured both with thermopile pyranometers (Kipp&Zonen SMP10) and Si- reference cells. Rear-side irradiance for bifacial modules is also measured.
- Direct normal irradiance measured by a pyrheliometer (Kipp&Zonen SHP1 on a SOLYS 2 tracker)
- Ambient temperature
- Relative humidity
- Wind speed and wind direction
The PV Module Outdoor Test-site is co-located with IFE’s PV Module Characterization and Testing Laboratory.
