Unobtrusive Assessment of Macro-cognition Processes in Team Decision Making
In this project we study an approach to monitor, track, and correct decrements in decision making processes through the assessment of spontaneous verbal output in real-time communications. We develop and evaluate a lexical analysis tool to assess team decision making processes in an unobtrusive manner, provide feedback, and aid in critical decision making.
The project is funded by Gulf-RD and managed by Florida Maxima Corporation with IFE and Central University of Florida as partners. IFE perform tasks to support the team with subject-matter expertise regarding risk and decision making in offshore oil and gas environments, obtaining stakeholder and industry involvement and engagement and support in obtaining industry-specific archival communications relevant to team decision making in offshore oil and gas environments.
