This is an invitation to the enlarged  OECD NEA HALDEN PROJECT meetings for HALDEN HTO PROJECT and HALDEN REACTOR PROJECT, Norway, 27th March – 1st April, 2022


These meetings will be the 2nd in the series of Enlarged HPRG meetings and the 42nd in the series of Enlarged HPG meetings, arranged to promote dissemination of the Halden Projects’ research activity results as well as stimulating discussion about the research priorities of the member organisations of the two projects.
Approximately 150 people are expected to participate in the meetings, including many of the Project’s technical and research staff.


In consideration of Covid-19-related travel restrictions to/from some countries, the Halden Enlarged meetings will be organised as hybrid events. The in-person event will take place in Lillehammer, Norway, and virtual participation will be facilitated for those participants who are not able to travel to Lillehammer.

Program and Scope

The Director-General of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency, William D. Magwood, IV, will give the opening address at the conference.   

The Technical Sessions will address the work performed by the Halden Projects, as well as by member organisations. Two parallel sessions will be organised in the areas of Human-Technology-Organisation (HTO) and Fuels & Materials (FM) issues.

Call for papers

Contributions from member organisations are encouraged and welcomed. They may cover results from experiments in Halden as well as results from related activities performed elsewhere.

Abstract submission

Participants fee: NOK 5.500,- for delegates

NOK   700,- for accompanying persons

Virtual participation fee: NOK 3.000,-


Hotel rates

  • Delegates
    • NOK 1.630,- per person per day, including full pension (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and use of hotel commodities
  • Accompanying person
    • NOK 1.100.- per person per day sharing delegate’s room, including full pension (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and use of hotel commodities
  • Children 0-3 years
    • No charge (no extra bed)
  • Children 4-12 years
    • NOK 550.- per child per day (sharing parents’ room), including full pension (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and use of hotel commodities

Conference Hotel payment

A hotel room is automatically booked for you upon registration.
The hotel payment will be charged at the hotel at departure.

Cancellation or changes to reservation

Possible cancellation or changes should be made by email to as soon as possible, and at least 14 days before arrival.

There is a 1.000,- NOK fee for all cancellations – covering administration.

Cancellation made after the deadline will be charged together with the hotels no-show fee.
